Being part of Mr Gay Europe isn’t just about being pretty, it’s also about learning something about the country you’re in for the contest. And a little about getting some exercise in while your head is getting a lot of input from the tour guide.
Thursday was such a day for the Mr Gay Europe delegates where they walked the streets of Rome in order to learn something. The Eternal City has so much history, it took hours just to get the headlines and basic history lesson. An engaged audience, the delegates took it all in like sponges. The biggest hits, like with any tourist in Rome, were The Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain. Nothing says “Rome” quite like those sites do.
Exhausted, but in good spirits, the guys also had their first day of rehearsals for the first leg of the show in Gay Village. Nervous but in high spirits, the delegates got on stage one by one and proved that being part of Mr Gay Europe isn’t just about your appearance when they took to the stage for the talent show and wowed their audience.
Here are some photos from the first day on the stage.
