President of Mr Gay Europe & European Area Director MGW
Aasheim has an international Diploma in Journalism and has worked in every field of the media; newspapers, TV, radio, internet and magazines. He is currently working as an editor of the Norwegian lifestyle magazine Cupido, which specializes in sexual health.
Aasheim is politically active and works with minority issues. On his time off you might find him on a court where he works off the stress with his team mates at Raballder Handball Team.
Aasheim has been with Mr Gay Europe from the very beginning, having started off as Press Officer and later moving on to Executive Producer.
Vice President of Mr Gay Europe & Mr Gay Europe 2010/11
Spatola has a degree in cinematography and works as an independent filmmaker. He combines his skills as a filmmaker with his passion for LGBT causes, and see himself as a keen and eager gay activist in Italy and Europe.
In the daytime he works in sales for a well renowned fashion brand, and on his time off he spends quite some time in the cinemas and in the gym.
Spatola became a member of the MGE family as he participated in Mr Gay Europe in 2011 in Romania. When he stepped down and handed the title over to Miguel Ortiz in Rome 2012 he was offered the position as Vice President of the Mr Gay Europe organization, a challenge he proudly accepted.
Spatola’s main responsibility in the organization is to be the title-holder and other delegates’ liaison, he is in charge of the video and film department and he also has a major say in the artistic profile of the organization. He also steps in for the president in Mr Gay events around Europe when he is not able to attend.
Even if Mr Gay Europe is an entirely voluntary organization and non-profit event, we need a professional administration to take care of accounting and legal matters. Stronger Media & Management’s Managing Director Adriana Grefstad looks after business, and acts as the comptroller of the jury scores.
