The MGE team is happy to announce that the host city of Mr Gay Europe 2020 is going to be Newcastle, UK.
The European finale takes place 14 – 19 July 2020 during UK Pride that next summer takes place in Newcastle.
The producers of Mr Gay Europe 2020 are previous Mr Gay World and Managing Director of Mr Gay Europe, Stuart Hatton Jr., along with Pride World Media-owner Peter Darrant and Pride World Media producer Richard Kell.
The city upon the River Tyne in England has just been named the friendliest city in the UK.
The 14th edition of the original Mr Gay competition will be part of the UK Pride 2020 and winner will be announced on the Pride stage Saturday 18 July.
The 2020 competition will follow the well-known MGE framework, but the enthusiastic and creative production team will also add some new elements and will give the Newcastle event its own flair.
“We at the international MGE team are happy and delighted that a previous delegate and team member has taken upon himself the task to produce a finale, with a team of well-qualified co-producers,” MGE president Tore Aasheim comments.
“As a former Mr Gay World winner, current national producer of three participating countries and a past Mr Gay Europe Managing Director, I am looking forward to channelling my experiences to bringing the Mr Gay Europe finals to my home region in 2020,” MGE2020 producer Stuart Hatton Jr. say.
“I know how much hard work it takes to produce a Mr Gay Final so this will very much be a team effort in association with Pride World Media and Northern Pride who will be hosting UK City of Pride in 2020 which will make the Mr Gay Europe finals even more exciting than previous events.
I’ve been a delegate and a former winner, and I want all the delegates to have fun and make great memories which they’ll cherish for life while communicating their positive messages on an international platform,” Mr Hatton states.
The registration for the finale is to open this week, and both delegates from national competitions and participants from countries that do not have a national finale can register online.
