It’s not easy to be a millennial. And perhaps it’s the most difficult for a gay guy. You know how we are all scared of growing old, so it’s kinda painful to watch all these new generation of gays, all with their guns pumped and looking amazing, knowing that you’re perhaps a bit older than them (and if you’ve no luck, they are into younger guys). However, it’s not only that that’s difficult – we have to work our asses off constantly. Due to these facts, it’s quite possible that we end up in bed not with a guy but with stress, which is definitely something we don’t want. Now, what are the ways that we can fight stress and reduce it? Take a look at these five totally painless tips that will help you get through the day.

Go deep but in breathing

You’ve probably had some nasty thoughts once you saw the word “deep” in the title of this segment, but unfortunately for you, we are talking about deep breathing. Breathing is something that we do mechanically, and don’t really think if we’re breathing in the right way. Deep breathing activities for 10-15 minutes a day can significantly enhance your mental state. Just sit back, try one of the many breathing activities that you can find online, and listen only to the sound of your breathing. Try this out and you’ll see how much better you will feel. Other options include meditation and yoga – both of these activities are excellent stress relievers that you should definitely try out.

Give cognitive supplements a try

It’s not a secret that happiness lies in small things. That’s why, if you’re open for something new, you should invest in focus pills that can help you achieve everything you planned without too much stress. You can use them to perk yourself up anytime you’re feeling down, and since most of them are herb-based, you don’t have to worry about side effects. Used responsibly, they can become an important part of your wellness routine.

Heal yourself with humor

It’s a scientific fact that humor helps in reducing the feelings of stress and anxiety, and if we gays have plenty of something, that’s sarcasm and humor. As far as the sources of humor you can use, there are plenty of them. First of all, you can be by yourself and watch your favorite TV show and laugh your ass off. However, there might be a chance that you will be left alone with your emotions and feelings, so it’s a better idea to invite someone over – such as your best friends – and have a comedy marathon together.

Speaking of friends…

Now that we mentioned friends, it comes to mind that being close to the people you love is perhaps one of the best stress reducing tips there are. Organize a get-together or a party, or, if you have extra time, you can always book a weekend somewhere far away from the place that’s giving you stress. This could also be a gaycation where you will let off some steam, and return home in a couple of days, fresher than ever.

Work on your guns

This tip might sound like a cliché, but exercising can definitely do wonders for your mood. It doesn’t matter if you’re a sporty person or not; getting yourself a gym membership might be the key to ending your stressful days. For example, after a hard day at work, beating a punch bag can really bring a great feeling. After all, the guys at the gym will serve as an inspiration for you to continue with your exercising routine and work on your body. Perhaps your next love interest is at the moment in your gym, doing crunches.

These tips sound very much ordinary, but you’ve probably haven’t tried any (or all) of them. And this is the reason why you should at least try. We promise that the stress will go away just like that guy from Grindr a couple of months ago.
