Last November Mr Gay Europe 2012 Miguel Ortiz volunteered for Ronald McDonald House Charities by selling hamburgers and talking to customers that stopped by to talk to the MGE title-holder.
By taking part in the program Miguel wants to show that being a MGE title-holder and role-model also can be to work with issues not directly linked with gay issues.
“I think people need to see that gay people also care for others, not only for ourselves and therefore the people get a more open and liberal view on being gay. I am a proud gay man and I want to help out in the community like anyone else can and should”
