After a short break Austria is back in Mr Gay Europe. Joachim Trauner is defending the Austrian colours.
“I am always very excited whenever I visit a new producer for the first time, and I have to say I am really impressed with what the Austrian producers managed to accomplish,” Mr Tore Aasheim, president of MGE says.
Austria did not send a delegate to MGE the two last times, but they are now back in the competition.
“The show was excellent and entertaining, the artists were great and the delegates were able to shine on stage which I really love,” Mr Aasheim continues.
“For the first time I witnessed that the jury was giving their points openly in front of the audience and the delegates which were both nerve-wracking and totally transparent.” Mr Aasheim was also part of the jury in the final that took part in Bregenz earlier this year.
“It is really educational for me to see how the producers work back-stage and how they organize their events – this enables us to take MGE to new levels each year – the experience and input from the producers from all over Europe is really important to us, Mr Aasheim says.
The winner of “Gay Model of the Year – Austria” who will represent Austria in MGE, Joachim Trauner is 29 years old and works as an area manager at ground operations in aviation.
Next year the organizers of “Gay Model of the Year – Austria” will also produce “Gay Model of the Year – Switzerland”.
