Former Mr Gay UK returns to police duties after being cleared of rape charges.
PC Mark Carter, the winner of the 2006 Mr Gay UK title and 1st runner of of the Mr. Gay Europe 2008 title has returned to police work this week after being cleared of charges that he raped a man and sexually assaulted two others in 2009, PinkNews.co.uk writes.
PC Carter, from Birkenshaw, was cleared in June of three counts of sexual assault and one count of rape.
Suspended from West Yorkshire Police, he was due to face trial for possessing the anabolic steroid stanozolol, but in September, the Crown Prosecution Service said it was satisfied he was using the drug for medicinal purposes.
He returned to police service after some disciplinary action was taken; further details were not given. A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “The internal disciplinary investigation has been concluded and dealt with by way of a disciplinary sanction.
